What to expect during a home veterinary visit

The first step in arranging a veterinary in-home visit is to set up a time.  This can be done by reaching me at 1-888-MOBIVET (1-888-662-4838).  Once we have set up a visitation time, the next step is arrival.  Having your pet available in the main living space is important, so preventing access to that special hiding place they use is a good idea just prior to my arrival.

Having any new person entering their home can be somewhat stressful for cats and dogs, and easing this transition with a treat or toy that they really love can work wonders.  If there are health or nutritional concerns that preclude the use of treats, a favourite toy or even part of your pets regular diet can be used.  Handing me the treat to give to your pet works very well in most cases to ``break the ice`` with a nervous pet.
